The Hindu Seminar on Rape Crimes and Punishment

The Hindu recently organized a public forum in Chennai's Ethiraj College. This event was organized just before "Amanat"'s sad and unfortunate passing. It has some very insightful presentations on rape law by Justice Prabha Sridevan and T. Nagasaila, a leading human rights activist and advocate at the Madras High Court. The presentations  can be watched online here and here.

  1. Rape crimes are very serious crimes and the victim has to face troubles all of her life. It is good to create some strict laws for stopping them. Legal aid is means tested, meaning that the NSW Legal Aid system will need to verify that you do in fact qualify for legal aid and that you do not have the means to pay for a legal representation yourself.
