Unfortunately, it was not accepted.

So we really need to ramp up the 3 year courses and have more such courses that can compare with the best 5 year courses. only then can we engender true inter-disciplinarity in the learning of law .Shamnad Basheerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07152989743112178836noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-15602189.post-56586634962311968812010-10-06T11:30:46.171+05:302010-10-06T11:30:46.171+05:30I couldn't agree more with the need for offer...I couldn't agree more with the need for offering 3 yr law courses. As you pointed out legal education is an in-demand add on for persons from various backgrounds. Also, we ought to recognize that as citizens of the country we have a right to have a better understanding of the law. The same can not be curtailed on account of the inability of the BCI to ensure that quality lawyers join the bar. The amendment in the rules, the BCI's approach in capping the age limit for giving 3yr law exams and similarly the position of CLAT on age bar is a bad version of nipping it in the bud.Simranhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16528672601133208394noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-15602189.post-21286306020885033412010-09-29T22:25:54.888+05:302010-09-29T22:25:54.888+05:30not that i dont agree with you but your suggestion...not that i dont agree with you but your suggestion seems to be diametrically contradictory to the proposed reforms by BCI chairman, Gopal Subramanium, regarding phasing out of the 3 yr LLB programs and grant of recognition to only 5 year programs. now, i think THAT is severely restrictive.

i think a 3 yr program should ideally be specialised (like the IIT KGP one, there could be specific streams) because only then would your argument, Kshitij of lateral entry be a reasonable conclusion although this may be slightly prohibiting to the people who want to enter litigation.Piggy Littlehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13112159490654492447noreply@blogger.com
